Eight In The Truck Suffered Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

A passenger jet that had just landed at KLAX Saturday struck a supply truck on a taxiway at the airport, resulting in injuries to the eight people in the truck.

According to a statement posted online by Los Angeles World Airports, At 2:27 p.m., Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Operations received notification of a collision between AeroMexico Flight 642 and a provisioning truck carrying 8 passengers as the aircraft taxied to its gate. LAX Airport Operations, LAX Airport Police (APD), and Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) officials immediately responded to the collision and rendered aid.

All eight passengers on the truck reported injuries, and were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.  All are currently reported in stable condition.

The AeroMexico aircraft sustained minor damage, but has been taxied to its gate.  Passengers have begun deplaning and reunification has begun with the assistance of LAX Guest Experience team members.
