Aero-News Network Partners with AUVSI On ‘Airborne Unmanned’ News Programming

Longest Running Aviation Online Daily News Effort Adds New Commercial Unmanned Vehicle Program

ANN and the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world’s largest nonprofit organization devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems and robotics community, are pleased to announce the debut of the next step in comprehensive aviation and aerospace news coverage: Airborne Unmanned, video coverage dedicated specifically to all things unmanned.

The unmanned systems industry is growing rapidly, by the hour, so it requires news coverage that can keep up. The partnership between Aero-News Network and AUVSI will help provide that coverage.

Airborne Unmanned is being produced by the Aero-News Network the first 24/7, 365, real-time online aviation news service, now entering its third decade of daily news production. ANN has produced more than 300,000 news stories, 7,000 podcasts, 3,000 Aero-TV features and just over 1,000 episodes of Airborne Unlimited, a daily aviation/aerospace news program expertly hosted by Bri Cross, Laura Hutson, and Christopher Odom, under the direction of Aero-TV Producer Nathan Cremisino.

The fast-paced, mobile-device friendly program covers the latest news and information of interest to the entire unmanned systems and robotics community. Strong production values, extensive B-Roll and timely interviews are all a part of the Airborne Unmanned viewing experience. Shows are available through AUVSI, ANN, YouTube, Vimeo, and dozens of other syndication partners.

“Since it was founded in 1973, AUVSI has been dedicated to the advancement of the unmanned systems and robotics community. Today, the association remains committed to those founding principles by fostering the technical and commercial success of its members. Through this partnership with Aero-News Network to produce Airborne Unmanned, AUVSI is expanding its reach to provide news and information about this growing and thriving industry. Airborne Unmanned will complement our existing communications channels, including Unmanned Systems magazine and the Daily eBrief, to keep AUVSI members and the entire community informed of the latest technology innovations, business transactions, and public policy that are supporting the safe deployment and implementation of unmanned systems throughout the world,” says AUVSI President and CEO Brian Wynne.

“Airborne Unmanned is among the first of a series of special topic news program we have on tap for the 2017-2018 timeframe. As an extension of the Airborne Partnership Initiative, which represents nearly 120 aviation associations, organizations and other important players in the Aero-Verse, we couldn’t be more pleased that we get to work with the exceptional staff and leadership of AUVSI. I’ve long-admired their skills and abilities and working with them on the first of our expanded news programs is about as good as it gets. This is a team that is destined to bring better news/information, education and cooperation to the unmanned vehicle community. We have a lot of work ahead of us in order to deliver the many great things we’ll be bringing to one of the most innovative tech communities in the world,” says ANN CEO/Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell.

One additional benefit of this teaming are a number of special projects ANN and AUVSI will be bringing to XPONENTIAL, AUVSI’s annual convention and tradeshow, to be held May 8 to 11, 2017, in Dallas, Texas. ANN will be producing a special XPONENTIAL Innovation Preview program outlining the most innovative new offerings for this year’s event, as well as several days of live Aero-TV coverage of the most exciting event in the unmanned systems community. Details and schedules for this programming will be announced soon.

Airborne Unmanned debuted late last week as a weekly program and expects to quickly expand coverage to evolve into a daily program that will be augmented by special news bulletins and programing when the need requires. News and story suggestions may be submitted to the Aero-News Network via Editor@aero-news.net or via calls to the editorial office at 863-299-8680.

Manufacturers, personnel, educators, and companies working in the Unmanned Vehicle sphere are encouraged to reach out to ANN in order to introduce themselves and learn more about the Airborne Unmanned effort.
