Aircraft Ferried To Croatian Aviation Training Center In Zagreb

The first DV20 Katana for  / Croatian Aviation Training Center (CAT) (Hrvatsko Zrakoplovno Nastavno Srediste (HZNS)) in Zagreb, Croatia has been delivered, according to Diamond Aircraft Industries. CAT is an independent unit for practical pilot training of the Aeronautical Department of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, itself a part of The University of Zagreb. It is a Flight Training Organisation (FTO) and offers JAR-FCL1 training programs consisting of integrated courses - ATPL(A) "Frozen Theory", CPL(A)/IR/MEPL - and modular courses to students and commercial pilots. Further, CAT was audited twice by EASA with great success.

The aircraft was taken over by Mr. Izidor Alfirevic, Accountable Manager, Mr. Tomislav Obad, Chief of Maintenance and Damir Lesar, flight instructor. “We and our students are very happy to start our training program with the new DV20 Katana”, Mr. Alfirevic says.

CAT is planning to take delivery of a further DV20 Katana in summer this year. For 2012 there are plans for purchasing DA40 NG, DA42 NG and a Diamond convertible simulator in order to complete the fleet renewal program. Diamond Aircraft Industries is happy to have a new important partner in south-east Europe.
