Eclipse Aerospace will display the first EASA certified EA500 aircraft at the EBACE air show next week in Geneva, Switzerland, the company said in a news release Wednesday. Eclipse Aerospace is now capable of delivering Eclipse EA500 aircraft fully conformed to European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification and European Operation standards. The new compliant models have begun shipping, and come complete with Flight into Known Icing (FIKI) capability and GPS coupled autopilot.

Eclipse Aerospace also worked closely with EASA and FAA authorities, to complete the EASA certified aircraft, as well as develop a program validating the use of the aircraft in European Operations as a commercial charter aircraft. Eclipse Aerospace collaborated with JetReady, EASA and the Spanish National Aviation Authorities to complete EU-OPS commercial operations compliance.

“Commercial operations of the Eclipse 500 in Europe are a high priority for Eclipse Aerospace. We are pleased that JetReady has selected the Eclipse 500 for their charter and air taxi operations, and we are confident that the Eclipse 500 will prove to be a very economical and profitable aircraft for many commercial air operators in Europe,” stated Mason Holland, Chairman and President of Eclipse Aerospace, Inc.
