SJ-50 Vision Update, With Cirrus President Brent Wouters

Today, ANN's Jim Campbell talks with Cirrus Aircraft President Brent Wouters about the company's efforts to transition from R&D to production of the Cirrus Vision SJ-50 jet. That move is happening somewhat faster than some in the industry had expected, and Wouters says this is an example of the company's efforts to move forward "better, cheaper, faster" during admittedly difficult times.

Note: This is a Two-Part feature, but ANN is making both parts available on the same day due to the significance of Wouter's comments... particularly in light of the industry-wide cutbacks seen in recent months.

This feature is in addition to our daily news briefing -- available in either a quick "Touch And Go" format, or an expanded Aero-Briefing -- where you'll hear these stories:

The FAA's pace at battling airframe icing frustrates the NTSB...

FAA responds by releasing an icing fact sheet...

And everyone walks away from a hard landing by a commuter jet in London.

...And more

ANN Special Feature -- SJ-50 Vision Update, Part One: 02.16.09/ Part Two 2.17.09 (ANN Special Report, with Cirrus President Brent Wouters.)

Check them out, let us know what you think and be sure to keep those news-tips and program suggestions coming... ANN is ALL about what YOU want to know about in the world of aviation and aerospace.
