Auterion Begins Offering Parachute Recovery Systems

Drone Rescue Systems Added to Product Lineup

Auterion has added a new option to its roster of drone products, announcing the addition of Drone Rescue Systems' parachute recovery products to their UAS fold.

The system combines an autonomous parachute with emergency blackbox and data storage, allowing enterprise operators to obtain an additional margin of safety in the course of normal operations. For operators, the capacity to decelerate and recover expensive, specialized systems is a valuable addition to their bottom line, whether limiting the collateral damage that could occur during a forced landing, preserving sensitive or delicate instrumentation, or recovering an air aircraft for faster reuse. Drone Rescue Systems will provide their lightweight, non-explosive parachute for use with Auterion drones. The equipment, thanks to its carbon fiber makeup, has minimal effect on MGTOW or payload.

“Drone Rescue System’s safety solution gives drone operators peace of mind,” says Markus Achtelik, vice president of Engineering at Auterion. “This new partnership streamlines the integration of autonomous parachutes with Auterion powered platforms and provides end users with the highest risk-mitigation in the rare case of a malfunction in the air.”

“We have invested a lot of time and effort to get the best reliability, flexibility and usability with our system,” says Andreas Ploier, CEO of Drone Rescue Systems. “The adoption of drones is unstoppable, and we believe that our system is the missing link for various safe commercial drone usage. We are excited to partner with Auterion to make our safety solution easily available to vehicles powered by Auterion.”
