New Officers To Lead Citation Jet Pilots Association

Member Growth And Engagement A Top Priority

The Citation Jet Pilots and Owner Pilots Association (CJP) recently completed a successful convention in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Record attendance, along with the participation of 100 Citation jet aircraft, was among the highlights of the convention activities. CJP also announced the establishment of the Citation Jet Pilots Hall of Fame, to be housed at Cessna Aircraft Company headquarters in Wichita, KS. The inaugural inductee was Cessna Chairman Emeritus Russ Meyer.

Building on the success of the convention, the CJP Board established membership growth and expanded member benefits and programs as priorities for 2013. To lead these initiatives, outgoing Chairman Tracy Forrest announced a new slate of officers who were elected at the recent CJP Board meeting. They are Chairman Ed Turley, President Mark Aloe, Secretary Stuart Fred, and Treasurer Tracy Forrest. Two new Directors, Larry Stoddard and Howard Tobin, also joined the Board.

In his role as President, Mark Aloe stated, “Operating a Citation aircraft requires a commitment to high maintenance standards and pilot professionalism. CJP, through its network of members and partners, is an excellent resource for owners and operators. In addition, Citation ownership allows individuals and companies to expand their network of business opportunities, as well as their personal relationships. We have a lot to offer and look forward to growing significantly over the next twelve months.”

Tom Poberezny, who joined the CJP team earlier this year, will continue as Convention Chairman, plus collaborate with CJP Director Cyrus Sigari on a series of regional events, which will expand CJP outreach. He will also utilize his experience and expertise gained through over three decades of leadership of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in support of CJP’s growth initiatives.

The 2013 CJP Convention will be in Tucson, AZ, October 2-6. For more information, contact Tom Poberezny at 262-785-0722.
