NBAA Announces ABACE for Summer 2004 and 2005

Tapping Into The Far East Market

To address the needs of the emerging business aviation community in Asia, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announces the debut of the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE).

NBAA first will host an ABACE Forum in Hong Kong, China on July 15 and 16, 2004. Modeled after successful NBAA-sponsored events in the United States, Europe and Latin America, the ABACE Show will debut in Shanghai, China the following summer. Dates for ABACE2005 will be announced shortly.

Globally, tens of thousands of companies, governments and organizations already use business aircraft daily to dramatically increase employee productivity, expand markets, secure competitive advantages, induce operational efficiency, offset company expenses and improve risk management. With more than 3.5 billion people, vast markets, a surging economy and a burgeoning transportation infrastructure, Asia is ready for business aviation. To answer this need, NBAA has created ABACE to focus solely on business aviation in Asia, an emerging market with great potential for business aircraft and related products and services. Founded in 1947, NBAA is the world's leading advocate for business aviation.

ABACE is designed for company leaders, chief pilots, aviation department managers, government officials, maintenance personnel, schedulers and dispatchers, and anyone else considering this form of transportation as an aid to conducting business.

ABACE will offer attendees the opportunity to participate in informational sessions and visit vendor-sponsored exhibits inside the convention center. A Static Display of Aircraft will showcase the latest aircraft models at the airport. Local regulatory officials will be on-hand for briefings and feedback.

Maintenance and operations sessions will facilitate the exchange of information between customers and vendors about specific aircraft and equipment. In-depth informational sessions will cover all relevant operator issues, including current and future operational requirements, international standards for business aviation, customs and tax laws, and current and future noise and environmental regulations in Asia and worldwide.
