Republic Announces Tuition Reimbursement Agreement With ATP Flight School

ATP Students Eligible To Receive Tuition Reimbursement And Path To Republic Airline

Republic Airline has partnered with ATP Flight School in its Tuition Reimbursement Program to contribute financial support for pilots in flight training. This program provides professional development and career progression for pilots, setting the course to gain the necessary experience to fly for the airline.

“This partnership gives us an ongoing and meaningful presence at the training centers where we recruit,” said Tonya Gilbert, Republic’s managing director of Talent Acquisition. “ATP’s students know that we are making a tangible investment in their careers and in the school’s program. We’re absolutely delighted to have established this kind of relationship with ATP. They’re a great partner with a great reputation for the quality of their instruction and the quality of their graduates.”

“ATP has proven that Tuition Reimbursement builds a predictable supply of pilots, which is a competitive advantage for airlines like Republic. With Republic’s entry into the program, pilots gain experience to prepare them for a successful future in the airline industry,” said Danielle Calnin, ATP’s director of Airline Business Development.

The ATP partnership enables ATP flight instructors to interview with Republic between 300 and 500 hours total flight time. After a successful interview and meeting Republic’s qualifications, pilots receive a conditional offer of employment from Republic and tuition reimbursement payments while working as a CFI at ATP. Upon meeting Airline Transport Pilot minimums, pilots then begin flying at Republic and continue receiving tuition reimbursement payments during their first year of employment. Pilots enrolled in the program will receive up to $11,000 in tuition reimbursement payments and up to $6,500 in bonus compensation.

Republic pilots train to fly the Embraer E170 and E175 aircraft, the most advanced commercial aircraft in the industry. Since the creation of its first partnership program in 2015, Republic has had more than 500 pilot cadets receive conditional offers of employment, many of whom already have transitioned into First Officers with the airline.
