Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics’ Director of Sales Joins
Aircraft Electronics Association Board of Directors

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics announced David Copeland, the company’s Director of Sales, has been elected to the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) Board of Directors. Seven new members, including David, will serve a three-year term beginning this month.

“I’m honored to support AEA and their membership,” said Copeland. “As a team, we share a common goal of exploring new perspectives and applying our unique experiences to further the success of the organization as a whole. We’re all very excited about what’s next for aviation!”

David brings a life-long passion for aviation and more than 30 years of aviation experience to this position. He has served in numerous volunteer roles with the EAA, AOPA, NIFA and other industry-related boards and committees. As Director of Sales and a member of Mid-Continent’s Leadership Team, David drives global sales opportunities for new products and repair services, and contributes to the company’s Strategic Planning.

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics Unveils New,
Easy-to-Install Magnetometer

Today, Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics introduced the new MD32 Magnetometer designed specifically for the company’s MD302 Standby Attitude Module (SAM®).

The MD32 Magnetometer delivers independent heading reference without orientation limitations or the need for special installation hardware. Its compact design, unique mounting flexibility and convenient cockpit calibration ensure easy, economical installation.

“The MD32 Magnetometer provides heading information independent of the primary avionics,” said David Copeland, Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics’ Director of Sales. “With this optional magnetometer, SAM is now the first certified indicator to deliver independent attitude, altitude, airspeed, vertical trend, slip and heading information in a 2-inch format.”

True Blue Power Introduces 2,000-Watt, AC-to-DC Voltage Converter

Ideal for aircraft with AC electrical systems that require 28-volt, DC power

Today, True Blue Power introduced a 2,000-watt, AC-to-DC voltage converter at the AEA International Convention and Trade Show. The TC2000 is ideal for aircraft with AC electrical systems that require 28-volt DC power. This includes executive aircraft, airline and passenger configurations.

The powerful voltage converter delivers 28-volt DC power to in-flight entertainment systems; interior and exterior lighting; and in-seat, cabin and cockpit USB power. Just one TC2000 powers more than 100 single, True Blue Power USB charging ports.
