Air Medical Pilot Survey Gathers Data For ARC

Rule-Making Committee Discussing Potential Changes To Training Requirements For Helicopter Pilots

The National EMS Pilots Association has released an online survey for helicopter air ambulance (HAA) pilots to complete.

The survey was designed to gather feedback from helicopter air medical pilots to be used by the Aviation Rule-making Committee (ARC) that is currently discussing potential changes to the regulations related to training requirements for helicopter
pilots in general, with some specific considerations for the training of helicopter air ambulance pilots.

The survey is intended specifically for current HAA pilots. The responses will be analyzed by NEMSPA and presented at the next meeting of the ARC by Dan Foulds, a member of the NEMSPA board of directors and participant on the Aviation Rule-making Committee. The next meeting of the ARC is scheduled for the end of October.
