Aircraft Now Certified In 44 Countries
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) told ANN Wednesday the
planemaker received certification authority for the Beechcraft
Premier IA from Transport Canada on July 6, 2007. The Beechcraft
Premier I/IA is now certified in 44 countries around the world.
MBE Jet Ltd. of Calgary Canada accepted delivery of the first
Beechcraft Premier IA in Canada during the Canadian Business
Aviation Association Convention in early July. The company already
has a second Premier on order.
“The success of the Beechcraft Premier is all about speed,
cabin size and comfort,” said Brad Hatt, president,
Commercial Sales. “Cruising at 450 knots with a spacious
cabin, the Premier enables customers to travel in comfort quickly
and efficiently. Customers in Canada will love the
airplane.”
“Being the first certified Premier pilot in Canada has
been a real pleasure, “said Marc Bombenon, CEO of MBE Jet
Ltd. “The Premier’s Pro Line 21 interface is so robust,
it makes single-pilot operations a breeze. We love the airplane so
much, we ordered another one!”
Hawker Beechcraft delivered its first Beechcraft Premier I in
2001, delivering 135 before certifying and beginning deliveries of
the Beechcraft Premier IA in 2005. As ANN reported, in late June
HBC delivered the 200th Beechcraft Premier in a special ceremony at
the company’s delivery center in Wichita, KS.
HBC touts the Beechcraft Premier IA as the largest and fastest
single-pilot business jet in the world. It features a high-strength
composite, carbon fiber/epoxy/honeycomb fuselage. The powerplants
are Williams International FJ44-2A engines, and Rockwell Collins
Pro Line 21 avionics includes IFIS with total system integration
and instrument placement designed to make single-pilot operation
easy, simple and safe.
