Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 151 Commanding Officer Relieved Of Duty

Found Guilty Of Two Violations Of UCMJ

The commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 151 was relieved for cause due to misconduct May 2.

Cmdr. Kurt Bohlken was relieved by Rear Adm. Ron Boxall, commander, Carrier Strike Group 3, following an Admiral's Mast proceeding where Bohlken was found guilty of violating Uniform Code Military Justice articles 92 (failure to obey an order or regulation) and 93 (maltreatment).

Bohlken has been temporarily assigned to the staff of Commander, Strike Fighter Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet, at Lemoore, California, pending final adjudication of the case. Bohlken assumed command of the Lemoore-based VFA-151 in March 2014.

Cmdr. Dustin Lee, executive officer of VFA-151, assumed command of the squadron. The squadron is currently embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).
