Mooney Holds Preliminary Type Certification Meeting For M10T, M10J

FAA Participates In Meeting Held In Chino, CA

A Preliminary Type Certification Board (PTCB) for Mooney's new M10T and M10J airplanes was held at the Chino, CA offices of Mooney International recently.

The meeting included FAA personnel from across the United States. The company is working towards a type certificate for the M10 series models.

“The PTCB meeting ... completes a major milestone for Mooney International’s M10 series program,” said Mooney’s Vice President of Engineering, Tony Parker. “This initial meeting is the beginning of the process that will lead to FAA certification of the M10.”

The PTCB meeting happened only three months after Mooney’s official M10 series announcement at Airshow China 2014 in Zhuhai. Mooney says the pace of the M10 program has progressed quickly and company milestones have been met. The M10 program has made considerable progress to build a proof of concept (POC) model.
