SnF Begins: Paradise City Spooling Up

Wednesday, April 2, 2003, was the first day of EAA Sun 'n Fun. The ultralight & light plane activity is at the south end of the airport in Lakeland, Florida, and is sometimes known as Paradise City.

The morning flying session was wrapped in great Florida morning weather, but few aircraft

Sun 'n Fun officials report that the number of exhibitors in the ultralight area (Paradise City) is, "about the same as last year plus one or two." 

Sun 'n Fun judges estimate that 80 aircraft will be judged for workmanship and expectations are that attendance, which was sparse on this opening day, will dramatically improve through the weekend.

ANN will bring reports of the exhibitors, new products and the events in the coming days of the event.
