Brand New RTF Belite Constructed Of Chromalloy Steel
Jim Wiebe at Belite aircraft says the company is preparing a very unusual aircraft available for delivery in Q4 of 2013. The ultralight aircraft is a brand new RTF Belite ultralight aircraft built with a steel chromalloy 4130 steel fuselage. Wiebe says it will look pretty much like the picture here, except it will NOT have any fuselage covering on it, the tires will be big, and you pick the color!
The list price is $25,495, and Belite is offering an immediate discount of $5,500; so this one is $19,995. It's "first come, first served on this extraordinary offer from Belite" Wiebe said. Shipping cost is extra, and a $5,000 nonrefundable deposit required. The buyer must take delivery before December 31, 2013. Other terms and conditions will apply including the standard seller contract.
Wiebe says the airplane is strong, light and unusual. The fuselage is powdercoated and fully uncovered. You may choose to cover it with fabric at any time, or you can pay us to cover it and paint it. An engine cowl is included, painted to complement the fuselage powdercoat color. The wings are constructed from doubled aluminum ribs (twice as many ribs) and aluminum spars. This will reduce drag over the wing. The wings are covered with taught dacron and oracal, in a color of your choosing. The tail feathers are chromalloy steel as well, covered with dacron and oracal.
A simple panel is included - basic Belite instruments, such as ASI, AGL, EGT/CHT, and inclinometer. "Hey, I'll even through in a turn coordinator," Wiebe said. "The panel has open cutouts for many more instruments. The wheels are beefy 5.00 x 5s, and the engine is a 28HP F33 from Hirth, with electric start and ground recharge battery.
