Swarm Of 800 Drones Lights Up Nanchang Flight Convention

Created Giant Airplanes In The Sky During The Show

Attendees to the Nanchang Flight Convention were treated to a spectacular display as a swarm of 800 drones created a giant airplane in the sky at the close of the event.

The blog Interesting Engineering reports that the show began with the drones gathering to represent a propeller plane, then morphed into an airliner, a helicopter and a spacecraft as the display went on.

The blog ladbible.com reports that the choreography of the show included the drones forming the outlines of airliners mirroring one another, and then one turned upside down as the other hovered above it.

The convention featured more than 100 types of Chinese aircraft and other countries. Yin Meigen, member of the Standing Committee of Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of Nanchang Municipal Party Committee said during the opening of the convention that it was designed to promote the rapid development of the Nanchang aviation industry and boost further development.
