Cleveland College Partners With Hemlock Films To Produce Aviation Show

Another Aero-Centric Reality Show Is In Production

Are airplanes the focus of the next wave of reality TV? Cable's "Flying Wild Alaska" has played this year to favorable reviews, and now the creators of the Emmy award winning PBS hit "Red Tail Reborn" have now partnered with Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) in Cleveland, Ohio to bring "The Restorers" to televisions nationwide. This new PBS series, based on the original 2004 movie of the same name, will chronicle those who restore warbirds and antique aircraft.

"The Restorers" series has begun filming, starting at the B-25 gathering and Doolittle Reunion this past year in Dayton, Ohio. Filming will continue throughout the United States for the coming year. Although some stories have been chosen for inclusion in the series, the producers are open to more stories of intriguing aircraft and aircraft restorers.

Fundraising has been a current priority, searching for underwriters and corporate sponsors to bring the project to completion. Tri-C will be providing valuable production assistance through the college's Media Arts program.

"Tri-C is excited to enter this collaboration which will bring invaluable field experience to our pre-professional program. The opportunity to assist with a project of this historical relevance is significant to student learning and workforce development for our region,"  said the Tri-C Media Arts Department in a statement.
