Just Married: Ideal-Aerosmith & Carco Electronics

Ideal Aerosmith, Inc. Acquires Carco Electronics

Ideal Aerosmith, a company that designs and manufactures test solutions for the aerospace, automotive and petroleum industries, says it's acquired Carco Electronics of Menlo Park, CA and Pittsburgh, PA, in a deal worth an undisclosed amount of money.

Carco Electronics is a major producer of Missile Flight Motion Simulators and Inertial Navigation Test Systems. Governments and defense contractors use these systems to simulate the high dynamic flight environment of missiles and missile targets. Ideal Aerosmith says the addition of Carco's advanced technology in the field of large electric and hydraulic flight motion and target simulators gives the company the most complete range of motion simulation products within the industry.

Ideal Aerosmith’s acquisition assures that Carco customers, worldwide, will receive technical and product support by experienced personnel as Ideal continues operation at Carco facilities in Menlo Park and Pittsburgh.

Ideal has grown rapidly during recent years through new product development and acquisitions. Company executives say the Carco acquisition fits well within Ideal’s growth strategy.  "We look forward to integrating the best technology and practices of each company while becoming the global leader in aerospace motion simulation,” said Jim Richtsmeier, Ideal's Vice-President of Business Growth and Technology.
