Ukranian Drone School Seeks Funding

Training Facility for UAV-Enhanced Infantry Operations Looks to Grow

A Ukrainian NGO has educated more than 400 soldiers to operate UAVs throughout the last 9 months, and now they're on the lookout for additional funding this holiday season.

Advanced Defence began UA Drone School to continue their goal of training Ukrainian troops on the use of drones in wartime. The group says they need $120,000 in donations to keep the school open. Started in April of this year, the initial funding from founders Dmytro Mazurenko and George Nikolaev has been able to buy some time for the UA Drone School, but funding is running out.

"This money would suffice for a year of initial operating costs. Most of these costs will go to the facility's rent and equipment. The rest will cover the salary of the staff and R&D developments to lower the cost of war and the efficiency of the drone force of the Ukrainian defenders."

“In less than a week, I learned all the information needed for my combat tasks. The instructors were experienced, and they knew how to teach techniques and theories to be memorable and updated. I had the pleasure of meeting other military personnel and became a part of a bigger community of like-minded people. I highly recommend participating and recommending this school to anyone”
