United Passenger Arrested For Threatening Person Behind Her On Flight

Dispute Arose Over Cell Phone Use, Pilot Returned To Nashville

A passenger on a United Airlines flight from Nashville to Houston Sunday was arrested after making threats to another passenger on the plane.

The dispute arose when a woman sitting behind 43-year-old Lashonda Lee Williams  asked Williams (pictured in booking photo) to turn off her cell phone during the flight. According to a report appearing in The Smoking Gun, Williams allegedly turned around to the passenger and said "I kill white people like you."

Williams then reportedly told the second passenger, identified as 50-year-old K. Colleen Coult, that she would follow her when they got to Houston to find out where she lived.

A United flight attendant said that the exchange was "causing anxiety and fear throughout the cabin," and the pilot turned the plane around and headed back to Nashville. There, Williams was arrested and booked into the Davidson County Jail.

Williams lives in Houston. She was released on $3,000 bond, and is scheduled in court in Tennessee on June 25.
