SimCom Announces Turboprop Twin Commander Training

Initial And Recurrent Simulator Training At Texas Facility

SimCom Training Centers recently added simulator training for all turboprop Twin Commanders, conducted at its Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX facility (formerly PrestoSIM). Initial and Recurrent courses are available and are approved by all major aircraft insurance underwriters.

"The addition of the Twin Commander training to our growing list of services provides customers of those airplanes a choice in simulator training," explained Wally David, President and Chief Executive Officer. "We apply our signature 'value, personal, friendly' approach to the Twin Commander programs, which we are confident will be well-received - just as it has been by 90,000 customers throughout SimCom's 20+ year history."  David added, "The Turboprop Twin Commander simulator represents SimCom's forty-third simulator in operation, and as such we are proud to have this great airplane as a part of our simulator fleet."

SimCom has equipped the Twin Commander simulator with the latest generation of its acclaimed 180-degree, wrap-around visual display system, which allows pilots to perform maneuvers with outside visual cues that realistically simulate conditions for day, night and twilight conditions. Multiple weather scenarios can also be duplicated from good VFR to low IFR conditions. Upon completion of their training, pilots will have been exposed to multiple extremes in weather and operational difficulties. Exposure to these circumstances in the safe learning environment of a simulator will help enhance their confidence and ability to fly in the real world conditions.
