If there was ever a place to find out about what’s going on in the world of business aviation, the place to be was the Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) held in November 2016. That’s exactly where ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, had the opportunity to find out about a program that Daher has come up with to allow owners of their TBM line of aircraft to be more productive.
Tom met with the Senior Vice President of the Airplane Business Unit of Daher North America, Nicolas Chabbert, to talk about a program they call, ‘Fly and Charter Your TBM’, which goes by the shorter acronym of FACT. Chabbert explains that the FACT program is a way for TBM owners who have low utilization of their aircraft to allow the aircraft to be used for charter purposes. Daher sees it as a way to get more of their TBM aircraft in the charter business while helping individual corporate owners.
In the video, Chabbert goes on to explain details about the program and how it helps the private business owner supplement ownership costs of the aircraft. They also discuss the issues of insurance and the advantages of using a TBM aircraft as a more economical charter solution.
While Tom and Chabbert discuss the program and the airplane, the video gives you a great view of the aircraft both inside and outside.
