Free Community Event Will Feature Musical Performances, Treats And Visit From Santa On Saturday, Dec. 7
Get into the holiday spirit in an uplifting setting as EAA hosts its traditional “Christmas in the Air” open house 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh.
This free community event for all ages will feature performances by local musical, choral, and dance groups in a festive holiday atmosphere. Capping EAA’s special event will be the arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter (weather permitting) at noon, followed by his visit with children at the event. Children can also write letters to Santa that will be sent with him when he flies back to the North Pole.
Along with the holiday music and atmosphere at Christmas in the Air, attendees can enjoy the various historical and educational attractions that the EAA Aviation Museum offers year-round. The EAA museum gift shop is also open during the event.
Everyone is also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry, which assists local families in the area, and new, unwrapped toys for the community “Toys for Tots” donation drive.
Sponsors and supporters of EAA’s Christmas in the Air include Ascension Mercy Hospital, The Outlet Shoppes at Oshkosh, Bank First, and Grant Thornton. Media sponsors include Oshkosh Media, WFRV’s Local5Live, WVBO Radio, and Go Valley Kids.
Tickets are sold out for the pre-open house Breakfast with Santa, the limited-size special event where attendees enjoy an all-they-care-to-eat pancake breakfast before Christmas in the Air begins.
