AMFA Will Honor Other Unions' Picket Lines at UAL

The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) has announced that it will honor other unions' picket lines at United Airlines.

"AMFA encourages all of our members to honor any legal picket line set up by another unionized work group at UAL. Our members have contractual rights that protect them from being disciplined for honoring another union's picket line. We are putting UAL on notice that an attack on one is an attack on all," said AMFA National Director O.V. Delle-Femine.

AMFA's craft union represents aircraft maintenance technicians and related support personnel at Alaska Airlines, ATA, Horizon Airlines, Independence Airlines, Mesaba Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines. AMFA's credo is "Safety in the air begins with quality maintenance on the ground."
