Aero-TV: Pilots N Paws -- Animal Rescue Takes Flight

Awwwww... A Really Cool and Emotionally Satisfying Way To Use Your Airplane!

I dare you to consider the mission of Pilots n Paws... and not be affected. Devoted to helping the helpless, the aviators who comprise Pilots n Paws not only do "a service" to the world... but also show the world how big a heart aviation (and aviators) possess.

Pilots N Paws is an organization created for pilots and other volunteers who help to transport rescue animals by air. Their mission is to provide a user-friendly communication venue between those that rescue, shelter, and foster animals; and pilots and plane owners willing to assist with the transportation of these animals.

Pilots n Paws notes that a general aviation transport requires just one pilot volunteer and is far more efficient and dependable than time-consuming ground transportation for these animals who are often in danger of euthanization. Volunteer pilots retain complete authority of their planning and flights, and can give as much or as little time as they like.

The nexus of PnP is their online discussion board... Through the discussion board those involved can exchange information so that they can set up an entire transport and share all information necessary to successfully accomplish the goal, but also allow others to volunteer their efforts if they see help is needed to save animals.

All participants are encouraged to check daily for various new listings on the discussion board for purposes of volunteering or assisting in an effort to save animals.

The discussion board is also intended for participants to develop friendships and relationships and to get to know one another, "because we are all working for a common goal."
