General Dynamics Teams With General Atomics On Canada Predator Project

Canadian Air Force Will Fly UAVS As Part Of JUSTAS Program

General Dynamics Announced Thursday its Canadian Aerospace unit will team up with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems to offer that company's Predator B unmanned surveillance aircraft to Canada's military forces. 

The joint agreement comes as the Canadian Air Force prepares to ramp up its Joint Unmanned Surveillance Target Acquisition System program, known as JUSTAS. Reuters reports the CAF will spend hundreds of millions of dollars on unmanned aerial systems over the next several years as part of this program.

Under the terms of the joint venture, General Dynamics will work on data integration and communications with the Predator aircraft.
