Able Flight Scholorships Program Announces Gifts From Corporate Sponsors

Jet Aviation, Landmark Aviation Contribute To The Cause

Able Flight's national scholorship program has received donations from Jet Aviation and Landmark Aviation to assist with their mission to provide flight training for people with physical disabilities. In 2006, Jet Aviation was one of the founding sponsors of Able Flight, and Landmark is the nonprofit's newest sponsor.

In a unique arrangement with Jet Aviation, Landmark's support represents a donation of 2 cents for every gallon of fuel Jet Aviation purchases from Landmark. The Landmark donation for 2010 was made in support of Able Flight's new dedicated fund to provide scholarships for wounded veterans.

Jet Aviation Presentation To Able Flight

On hand to present the donations at NBAA in Atlanta were Bob Seidel, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc., Dan Bucaro, president of Landmark Aviation, and Eric Faulkner and Jim Hopkins of Landmark Aviation. Representing Able Flight were scholarship recipients Heather Schultz and Sean O'Donnell, and executive director Charles Stites.

Landmark Aviation Donation To Able Flight

"We are honored to have Jet Aviation return for their fifth year as our partner in using aviation to change the lives of people who are dealing with the effects of a catastrophic injury or illness," said Stites. " And we welcome Landmark Aviation. With their gift added to the fundraising efforts of our Freedom Flight 2011 project, we now have funding for one of two scholarships we plan to award to wounded veterans for training in 2011."
