350 New Aircraft Sold Prior to Oshkosh
Cirrus is bragging...
again -- and for good reason. For the past year, Cirrus Design
Corporation has experienced record sales.
In fact, the company has logged a full 12 month cycle of sales
exceeding 40 new aircraft sales per month - some months exceeded 60
and 70 new aircraft sales. This week, Cirrus announced the sale of
their 350th new aircraft for the calendar year 2004.
“Naturally we’re very pleased with our results year
to date,” said John M. Bingham, executive vice president of
sales at Cirrus.
“350 aircraft sales put us more than 100 aircraft ahead of
the year to date target and is 201% greater than our performance
for the same period in 2003.”
Bingham added, “This is an amazing performance from our
sales team as Cirrus sells aircraft factory-direct to customers.
Each reported sale is in the hands of a customer – we
don’t have a dealer network stockpiling inventory throughout
the country”.
Customer demand for a high-quality modern aircraft that is fast,
comfortable, safe, easy-to-operate and supported by more than 100
service centers, is the foundation of the Cirrus business
model.
“Customers who thoroughly research the marketplace before
making their purchase decision recognize the exceptional value that
only Cirrus offers,” Bingham concluded. The record sales
performance has been the catalyst that accelerated the increase of
production to 12 aircraft per week and necessitated the hiring of
88 additional production employees and the ongoing search for
engineers. Engineers can learn about job opportunities on the
