Dart Helicopter Services Earns FAA, EASA Approval Of AS350/355 Crosstubes

Provides More Robust Landing Gear

Dart Helicopter Services told ANN Tuesday its affiliated partner, DART Aerospace Ltd., has received FAA and EASA certification for their AS 350/355 crosstubes. Transport Canada approval was received in September 2006.

DART Aerospace states its AS350/355 crosstubes provide operators with a durable and robust solution which has been specifically engineered to withstand deterioration and incorporates the following design features:

  • Compatible with both DART Round-I-Beam and OEM skidtubes.
  • Installed using two-piece split, CNC machined saddles
  • Steel surfaces coated using a CAD plating process. (Protective coating of cadmium applied to inhibit corrosion)
  • Replace on condition (no life limit)
  • Optional Armor Shield protective finish (designed to protect crosstubes against scratches and abrasions)

"At DART Aerospace, we pride ourselves on being responsive to customer requirements. This focus has resulted in DART receiving both the EASA and FAA approvals as well as Transport Canada certification all within the past eight months. We are pleased to now offer an alternative source for crosstubes for the AS 350/355 throughout North America and Europe" says Bill Beckett, General Manager, DART Aerospace Ltd.

DART crosstubes are also available for Bell 206/407, Bell 204, Bell 205, Bell 210, Bell 212, Bell 412, OH-58.
