Crownair Aviation Adds Important Ratings At CRQ Facility

In Rare Company Offering Class III Engine, Class IV Airframe Rating

Crownair Aviation-CRQ, located at Palomar-McClellan Airport in Carlsbad, CA, announced this week it has received Federal Aviation Administration Certified Repair Station Class III and IV ratings for its Part 145 Maintenance and Avionics Repair Station (#QQ9R189B).

The rating authorizes Crownair Aviation-CRQ to work on all metal-constructed aircraft over 12,500 lbs. Only two percent of all repair stations worldwide have been awarded a Class IV rating.

The new Class III and IV ratings will further complement the existing engine and airframe repair capabilities for all models of Learjet, Citation, Hawker, Beechjet, Gulfstream and Challenger aircraft.

"Our current capabilities now include major inspections, heavy maintenance and complex avionics installs and repairs for all light to heavy business jet aircraft," said David Lohmeyer, general manager. "We are proud to offer our customers additional services and an increased sense of reliability and satisfaction."

As ANN reported, Crownair also recently unveiled its first Crownair "Centurion Edition" T210. The upgraded 1977 aircraft features an all-new glass cockpit and other state-of-the-art amenities, and will compete with new manufactured aircraft by offering more payload, faster speeds and more range.

Crownair Aviation is part of Crownair Companies, an aviation maintenance and avionics industry leader with four locations in the Southwest United States.
