Avidyne Announces Free 12-Month XM Wx Subscription With Purchase Of EX500 MFD

Limited-Time Offer Covers a Subscription to XM WX Satellite Weather Aviator LT Service

Avidyne is offering a 12-month subscription to XM's Aviator LT satellite weather service at no additional cost with the purchase of an Avidyne EX500 multi-function display (MFD) between April 1 and June 30, 2005. The offer provides further incentive for pilots to upgrade their aircraft panels with Avidyne's popular MFD featuring full-overlay moving map, multi-channel datalink, and the highest resolution display available.

XM WX's Aviator LT service provides pilots with important situational awareness and safety information including NEXRAD, textual and graphical METARS and TFRs throughout the continental United States. After purchase, Avidyne will reimburse qualified buyers for the equivalent of 12 months of XM Aviator LT service subscription normally priced at $29.99 per month. Eligible buyers must present proof of purchase of the XM service, as well as the serial number of their Heads Up Technologies XMD-076 or XMD-076A XM weather receiver. XM account activation charges are additional and not included in the offer.

The EX500 features a 5.5" diagonal, high-resolution moving map display that can show flight plan information and Avidyne's exclusive two-way MultiLink™ datalink weather service. Options include interfaces to 19 different airborne weather radar systems, TAWS display, lightning and active traffic including Avidyne's TAS600 series systems. Additional options are Avidyne's FlightCenter™ services for flight tracking and two-way text messaging capabilities, and CMax™ Jeppesen JeppView® electronic chart display.

"XM WX is the most popular option for our EX500 multi-function display," said Mark Sandeen, vice president of sales and marketing at Avidyne.

"This offer provides a real additional benefit to our customers and allows them to utilize some of the most important features available on the EX500."

The Avidyne EX500 is available now by contacting your authorized Avidyne dealer. Participating customers will received a check back from Avidyne equivalent to 12 months of XM WX Aviator LT service ($360). XM WX and MultiLink require the purchase of XMD-076/A XM Datalink Receiver from Heads Up Technology (www.heads-up.com), priced at $3,750. The CMax JeppView display option is priced at $1,995 and requires a chart subscription available separately from Jeppesen. The EGPWS interfaces are priced at $995.
