Retrofit Air Conditioning, Semi-Portable Oxygen and Extended
Warranty
The Cirrus Design juggernaut knows no end... as they announce
three new options that will soon be available to customers on their
popular personal aircraft. Cirrus is introducing Keith Air
Conditioning, Precise Flight Semi-Portable O2 and an extended
three-year warranty.
Ian Bentley, vice president of customer relations, stated, "As
the Cirrus fleet grows we want to continue to offer our customers
options that fit their needs. Consequently, we have developed a
list of new options that are important to them." Bentley adds that
this continues the company's emphasis on providing value to
existing and future customers.
Air Conditioning for SR22
Cirrus and Keith Products anticipate finalization of the air
conditioning certification on SR22 for delivery this fall as an
aftermarket option. Air conditioning will be available for any SR22
as a retrofit installed by the Cirrus Factory Service Center or by
any authorized Cirrus Service Center. The package weighs
approximately 60 pounds installed.
Supplemental Oxygen
The Precise Flight Semi-Portable Oxygen System will be available
through the Cirrus Connection Company Store and can be installed at
any authorized Cirrus Service Center. The retrofit oxygen system,
available for all Cirrus models, fits between the two rear seats as
an armrest. Capable of withstanding the required 18G load
with the rear seats occupied, the semi-portable 22 cubic foot
cylinder weighs 15 pounds and provides supplemental oxygen for one
to four occupants(s) for extended flights above 12,500
feet.
Extended Warranty
Customers taking delivery of a new Cirrus aircraft will have an
opportunity to extend their Cirrus Warranty from two to three
years. Bentley adds that existing customers are not being
forgotten. "We are looking into how we can offer the extended
warranty for current customers and hope to announce that program
toward the end of the year."
