Gill Introduces New Battery Capacity Tester

As a continued airworthiness requirement, battery capacity checking just got easier. Thanks to Gill’s new TCT-1000 Battery Capacity Analyzer, checking capacity of aircraft batteries just got easier.

The new instrument is intended to simplify CAP or battery capacity checks for A&P mechanics as well as those who perform their own maintenance. It performs automatic capacity testing of 12- and 24-volt, lead-acid aircraft batteries and is capable of accurately measuring the capacity of a fully charged battery with a rating between 10 and 59 amp-hours. The unit requires no external power source, is simple to operate and convenient to use.

Additionally, the unit makes use of quick disconnect leads, it’s self-cooling, has adjustable current rating and digital over-temp protection. A sensor within the unit also detects accidental reverse polarity and sounds a horn to protect itself and the user. It’s power leads stow neatly in the unit when not in use. The TCT-1000 is available now through Gill Batteries and its distributors.
