Zerotech Introduces Advanced Features For Dobby Pocket Drone

Announces Camera Upgrades, Longer Battery Life And Smart Video Sharing

Zerotech has announced new features for its Dobby pocket drone. The new features include 30- and 60-second auto track short video recording allows Dobby to fly higher and take longer videos, and an Orbit Video Mode, which tracks the user and automatically records videos in a circular orbit.

Originally launched in September 2016, Dobby is a compact, easy-to-use selfie drone featuring motion guided control connected to the user’s smart phone. Dobby provides a simple, intuitive user interface, enabling consumers to utilize features such as palm take-off and landing, voice-enabled control and dual satellite positioning with ease. Dobby includes a 13 megapixel camera with a field of view of 75 degrees and 1080p FHD video capabilities, producing crystal-clear pictures and videos, even from a distance.

With its patented design, Dobby is lightweight and can fold up to fit into your pocket. Despite weighing a mere 7 ounces (199 grams), Dobby combines the best-in-class technology characteristic of high-performance drones, including an electronic image stabilization system, facial recognition and target tracking, making Dobby one of the few drones that uses CV technology rather than GPS to enhance precision within a short reaction time.

Dobby can fly as far as 100 meters (approx. 328 feet) from the operator, and up to 50 meters (approx. 165 feet)  above the ground. The camera’s facial recognition, target tracking and auto track short video recording allow the user to create cinema-quality effects during daily shooting. Dobby will fly higher and come back automatically and take videos. The new Orbit Video Mode feature flies Dobby circularly and takes videos at the same time, making it easy for users to create 360° selfie videos.

Dobby is available for purchase in-store and online at BestBuy, Amazon, Adorama and B&H Photo in the United States for $399. It's also available at Staples and NCIX in Canada. In addition to the Dobby pocket drone, Zerotech has launched a network of global partners to expand its business as well.

"With nine years of experience in the drone industry, Zerotech is committed to continued innovation in aerial drones,” said Yang Jianjun, Chief Executive Officer of Zerotech. “Dobby features the latest advancements in our already cutting-edge technology and we’re thrilled to bring it to consumers today.”
