Avidyne Names Jack Hess As OEM Sales Manager

Aims To Grow Sales To GA Aircraft Manufacturers

Avidyne Corporation announced Thursday the appointment of Jack Hess, a 26-year aviation industry veteran, as an OEM Sales Manager.

Representatives with Avidyne told ANN that Hess, who will be based at Avidyne’s Columbus, OH facility, has extensive experience in avionics for general aviation and military aviation and is an instrument-rated commercial pilot.

Prior to joining Avidyne, Hess worked at L-3 Communications Avionics Systems, where he advanced to management positions overseeing key OEM activities. In addition to his business experience, Hess developed his technical skills and field experience as a communications and navigation systems avionics specialist with the Ohio Air National Guard from which he retired in 2002 following 22 years of service.

"Jack’s combination of extensive business experience, outstanding industry contacts and real-world avionics experience makes him an excellent addition to the Avidyne team," said Mark Sandeen, Avidyne’s vice president of sales and marketing. "We know that our OEM partners will appreciate his proven skills and hands-on avionics wisdom."

Based in Lincoln, MA Avidyne Corporation develops and markets innovative avionics that improve the safety, utility and value of general aviation aircraft.

The company's Entegra line is available on more than 18 different new aircraft models, and is the foundation of the integrated avionics suites in several upcoming very-light-jets.
