ExecuJet South Africa To Move Into New FBO Facility

ExecuJet South Africa, a subsidiary company of ExecuJet Aviation Group, announced that they will be taking occupation of their new facility at Cape Town International Airport in October 2008.

Since opening its doors in 2004 at Cape Town International Airport, ExecuJet has been aggressively developing their operations in the Western Cape. The need for a bigger facility soon became apparent. A R250million world-class aviation and business centre at Cape Town International Airport is being developed by a local businessman and ExecuJet South Africa as the anchor tenant, obtained naming rights of the facility. Phase 1 of the ExecuJet Business Centre is completed and the final phase is due for completion in the early part of 2009.

This purpose built state-of-the-art FBO facility is strategically located parallel to the main runway with 5,000 sqm of hangar and 7,000 sqm of dedicated ramp parking, and has exclusive access to the taxiway and runway of Cape Town International. ExecuJet's business and general aviation services will include a Fixed Base Operation (FBO), non-scheduled business aircraft charter services, General Aviation aircraft maintenance services, boardroom and secretarial services, parking facilities, concierge services and helicopter transfers to name but a few.

"The provision of these services will be an extension of the services already provided by ExecuJet South Africa at Lanseria International Airport and other ExecuJet facilities in Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Zurich, Berlin, Copenhagen and Monterey", says Ettore Poggi, Managing Director, ExecuJet South Africa.

Mark Abbott, Regional Manager: Western Cape, ExecuJet South Africa adds: "ExecuJet is an expert in flight planning and ground handling into African destinations, making use of a wide network of approved agents to assist in obtaining clearances, landing permits and over flight permits. There is no other company on the continent that can offer comparable turn-around times. ExecuJet also has extensive experience in planning VIP, Diplomatic and Presidential flights."

ExecuJet South Africa will also extend its AMO to this Cape facility in order to provide maintenance services to both local and foreign aircraft owners. ExecuJet South Africa recently received European (EASA) maintenance approval, which means that they can perform maintenance on European registered aircraft under the approval of the European Aviation Authorities.
