You Can Build A Rudder Assembly To Get A Feel For Building An Airplane
For the first time, Zenith Aircraft's popular hands-on kit building workshop is coming to the DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase early next month.
The two-day workshop will be held Thursday and Friday, November 1-2, during the event at DeLand Municipal Airport (KDED). The Zenith workshops are aimed at the first-time airplane builder and have become popular with sport aviation enthusiasts who are considering whether or not to build their own aircraft, and are unsure if they have the required skills, workspace and tools. During the workshop, each participant builds and assembles their own Zenith aircraft rudder tail section from a standard kit.
On Saturday (November 3) Zenith staff and volunteers will provide an overview of the fuselage and wing assemblies and demonstrate the ease of kit assembly made possible with final hole size match-drilled assemblies. Visitors are welcome to observe the workshop sessions, and Zenith Aircraft staff will be on hand to answer any additional questions about building and flying your own Zenith.
Participating in the workshop at the DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase is an excellent opportunity for you and your spouse or a friend to spend a couple productive days learning to build your own airplane, meet with fellow aviation enthusiasts, and visit the DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase in sunny Florida.
Also at the show, Zenith Aircraft president Sebastien Heintz will present an educational forum titled "Building Your Own All-Metal Airplane" where he will discuss the needed skills and tools to build a Zenith kit, as well as required budget and time.
