Cessna Approves West Star Aviation As Authorized Independent NDI Facility

Chattanooga Facility Meets Requirements For All Cessna Models

West Star Aviation's Chattanooga facility has received Cessna approval as an authorized independent Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) facility.

This approval allows West Star to perform Nondestructive Testing and Inspections (NDT) requirements on Cessna models, as well as access to documentation and the required standards/kits needed to perform this work. This approval is in addition to a wide-variety of approvals and capabilities West Star currently has to service Cessna aircraft, which extend beyond being an authorized Citation jet service center for aircraft maintenance and warranty provider.

"We are proud of this approval as it continues our long-standing growth and support of maintenance on Cessna aircraft. Being an independent NDI facility allows us to perform NDT services in-house at Chattanooga which will help us potentially decrease downtime and cost for customers," said Thomas Hilboldt, General Manager, West Star Aviation.

Voted the number one Preferred MRO for five consecutive years from 2014-2018 in Professional Pilot Magazine's annual "Preferences Regarding Aviation Services and Equipment" (PRASE) Survey, West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows, and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts.

In addition to its facilities in East Alton, IL; Grand Junction, CO; Chattanooga, TN; and Perryville, MO, West Star Aviation runs maintenance operations at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, CO; Chicago Executive Airport in Chicago, IL; Centennial Airport in Denver, CO; Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport in Houston, TX; and Scottsdale Airport in Scottsdale, AZ. The company also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its newly remodeled East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
