New Online Service Connecting Air Charter Buyers and
Sellers
CharterX has come up with an electronic version of a trip board,
a new online service designed to connect buyers and sellers to
efficiently fulfill trip requests. Charter operators can view the
Trip Board listings and submit quotes to buyers who have posted
trip requests. Unlike trip auction systems, the Trip Board will
enable charter buyers to choose the best provider for a trip based
on a variety of factors. The Trip Board will help buyers
efficiently gather the widest possible array of options for any
given trip to enable them to make the best fulfillment
decision.
The CharterX Trip Board will be available to over 3,000 air
charter industry professionals who are current members of the
CharterX Industry XChange, the leading online air charter
marketplace. The Trip Board will augment the Industry
XChange’s existing online air charter information services
including aircraft, empty leg, transient, geographic and company
name search tools. Over 40,000 trip requests are processed through
the CharterX network each month, making it the largest and most
active air charter marketplace in the world.
“We are always looking for ways to make the business of
air charter fulfillment more efficient and profitable for our
customers,” says Jim Betlyon, President of CharterX.
“The CharterX Trip Board extends the capabilities of the
Industry XChange by providing our members with yet another means of
making supply and demand connections.”
Speaking about the upcoming release, Mike Guina, General Manager
of Air Charter for Segrave Aviation says, "The CharterX Trip Board
adds more value to the central online air charter market.
It’s all about efficiently accessing real time demand in the
marketplace. Having a single market site where we can locate
customer demand that matches well with where our aircraft are and
where they need to be will dramatically reduce empty flying and
enhance bottom line profitability."
