USPA Announces Board Election Results

Over Six Thousand Members Voted For The Organization's Leadership

Results are in for the 2016-2018 USPA Board of Directors election, which concluded November 30.

Below is the list of the vote totals. The new board will take its seat at the 2016 winter meeting, February 26-28 in San Diego. A total of 6,349 members voted.

Those elected to the board include:

  • W. L. "Jay" Stokes
  • Kirk Verner
  • Michael Joseph McGowan
  • Sherry Butcher
  • Mike Mullins
  • Larry Hill
  • Jan Meyer
  • Thomas J. Noonan III

Those elected as regional directors include:

  • Central: Gary Peek
  • Eastern: Shauna Finley
  • Gulf: Chuck Akers
  • Mid-Atlantic: Tony Thacker
  • Mid-Eastern: Chris Nunn
  • Mountain: Shawn A Hill
  • North Central: Michael Wadkins 
  • Northeast: Alan T. "Al" King 
  • Northwest: Luke Aikins 
  • Pacific: Jason Putnam Gordon 
  • Southeast: Albert J Berchtold III 
  • Southern: Steve Helffrich 
  • Southwest: Jack Pyland 
  • Western: Joshua Hall 

The United States Parachute Association (USPA) is a voluntary non-profit membership organization of individuals who enjoy and support the sport of skydiving. The association is incorporated in New York and follows the by-laws contained in the USPA Governance Manual.

USPA’s mission is to promote safe skydiving through training, licensing and instructor qualification programs; to ensure skydiving’s rightful place on airports and in the airspace system, and; to promote competition and record-setting programs.
