CAE has sold five  CAE-built full-flight simulators (FFSs) – 3 Boeing 777X and 2 Boeing 737 MAX – and two flight training devices (FTDs) – one Boeing 777X and one Boeing 737 MAX to support the growing pilot training needs of the airline. In addition, CAE extended its training center operations services, to operate and maintain the training equipment suite for the airline for the next 15 years.

“CAE has been our training partner of choice for more than a decade, providing state-of-the-art training equipment and training centre operation services,” said Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker. “We are proud to expand on our relationship and continue to count on CAE’s excellent support and services. We are delighted to that our pilots will continue to train on the most innovative training equipment suite”.

“We are pleased to be Qatar Airways’ training partner of choice and to support our airline partner’s growth and training needs for its new Boeing 777X and 737 MAX fleet,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. “The future of aviation and demand for pilot training in the Middle East is on the rise. This new training equipment agreement is a testament to our commitment to provide Qatar Airways with the most comprehensive training solutions for many years to come. We also look forward to supporting our partner with the entry into service of the new 777X aircraft.”

CAE and Qatar Airways share a relationship that spans over 15 years, with the delivery of innovative training equipment solutions and training center operation services.
