Becomes Lancair's VP For Sales And Marketing
A growing workforce and capital
investment have accelerated The Lancair Company's production line
during the past few months. Today the Company provided a glimpse at
how they intend to sell all of those certified aircraft naming
Randy S. Bolinger its new vice president of marketing and
sales.
Bolinger joins Lancair from Cirrus Design Corporation where he
held senior marketing positions during that company's rapid
expansion over the past two years. Most recently, Bolinger had been
Cirrus' vice president of marketing. At Lancair, Bolinger joins a
company in the process of investing heavily for the future. "I feel
like I'm joining The Lancair Company at the best possible time. The
Columbia 350 and 400 are category defining aircraft, the company
has the financial backing to really assert itself and I'm joining a
dynamic management team. I couldn't be more excited about this
opportunity," Bolinger said.
Indeed, 2005 has gotten off to a fast start for the Bend,
OR-based aircraft manufacturer. The Company is nearing completion
of a major capital improvement program as well as a significant
hiring blitz, both intended to allow Lancair to increase production
to one aircraft per day by later this year. Lancair has also
implemented the recommendations of a noted manufacturing
engineering consultant that have made the manufacturing process
both faster and more cost efficient.
"We're engaged in a lot of exciting initiatives right now," said
Lancair President and CEO Bing Lantis. "We've put a lot of time and
money into our manufacturing component and our production rate ramp
up is right on schedule. With the addition of Randy Bolinger, I'm
confident that our marketing programs will move to a higher level
as well. We feel very fortunate to have him."
Prior to his experience with Cirrus Design, Bolinger held
positions in brand management, public relations and marketing for
Volvo Trucks in the United States. At Lancair, Bolinger will manage
a staff responsible for both the Company's marketing and sales
functions.
