Southstar Aircraft Interiors Will Finish The Job
Ibis Aerospace has decided on
DeCrane Aircraft Seating Company (DASC) to supply executive class
seating for the Ae270 Spirit aircraft. Also, Ibis has selected
Southstar Aircraft Interiors to supply interior completions for
production aircraft.
DASC is a leading manufacturer of aircraft seating, offering a
full range of seating platforms for business and special mission
aircraft. The company was founded in 1979 under the name Erda Inc.,
and is now part of the DeCrane Systems Integration Group.
Southstar Aircraft Interiors is a
full service interior completion and modification center located in
south Texas. Components to be manufactured and installed in
“green” Ae270 aircraft include headliners, window
panels, sidewalls, bulkheads and storage compartments. The aircraft
will be configured for executive operators. Southstar will utilize
the finest available materials and finishes such as Ultraleather,
leather, wood grain laminates and plated metal trim.
Jeff Conrad, Ibis Aerospace VP of Marketing, stated,
“After considerable interaction with distributors and input
from customers, Ibis has finalized the interior configuration of
the Ae270 Spirit to represent quality, comfort and the best
utilization of cabin space. DeCrane and Southstar will give Spirit
operators state-of-the-art technology and safety features
reflective of the demanding executive aircraft market.”
