Aero-TV: Jepp’s Mark Van Tine: Charting The Future (Electronically)

Jepp Profiles One More Amazing Aspect of the Electronic Revolution

At the 2011 Women In Aviation Convention, Jepp's Leader Mark Van Tine, took a few moments to look over the massive and overwhelming revolution that is affecting every aspect of aviation... and especially when it comes to charting. The changes in just a few years are enough to make one's head spin... if not your airplane, as well.

Changes are taking place at a dramatic, even breathtaking, rate and with the reliance that aviation has on accurate nav and chart data, one can only imagine the pressure that Van Tine's troops must be under.

Mark Van Tine is President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeppesen, an information solutions company focused on global air and sea transportation. Named to this position in January 2003, Van Tine directs the Senior Leadership Team at Jeppesen and is a member of the Flight Services Leadership Team at The Boeing Company.

Jeppesen is a subsidiary of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services, a unit of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Van Tine leads 3,200 employees in 22 countries and is responsible for managing the company’s global navigation, information and operations services for air, marine and rail markets.

Join ANN for an intriguing presentation by Jepp about their achievements as well as the challenges the company faces in keeping aviation on course... via onboard aircraft systems, as well as the new breed of portable computing devices that have become many a pilot's new best friend.
