Names Olaf Sachau Chief Executive Officer, Doug Winter is Promoted To President And Chief Commercial Officer
Intrepid Aviation has named Olaf Sachau (pictured, top), the company’s Chief Financial Officer, to the position of Chief Executive Officer, and promoted Doug Winter (pictured, bottom), the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, to the newly created position of President & Chief Commercial Officer.
Sachau and Winter will take over the leadership responsibility from Frank Pray, private commercial aircraft lessor Intrepid Aviation's CEO since 2011, who is leaving to pursue other interests. "Under Frank’s leadership, Intrepid has assembled the youngest portfolio in the aircraft leasing business, with some of the most desirable aircraft types in the industry.” “This transition reflects the strength and talent in the business, and we are excited about the next phase of Intrepid’s development,” said Lance West, Senior Managing Director and CEO of Centerbridge Partners Europe.
Prior to joining Intrepid, Sachau had previously been in senior management roles with Amentum Capital and HSH Nordbank. Prior to joining Intrepid, Winter had previously been in executive roles at Octagon Aviation Limited, AWAS and GECAS.
At the same time, Intrepid also announced the promotion of Mike Lungariello to Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Lungariello joined Intrepid in 2012 and serves as the company’s Senior Vice President and Global Controller.
