Company Began Manufacturing Batteries In The 1970s
Concorde Battery Corporation is celebrating a significant milestone this year ... 40 years of providing power for aircraft of all types.
Walter Heine, Sales Director for Concorde Battery Corporation told ANN CEO and Editor in Chief Jim Campbell at HAI in Dallas, TX earlier this year that the company began manufacturing batteries in the 1970s, and introduced the recombinant gas RG series batteries in the 1980s.
Heine said that beyond just being able to start an aircraft, batteries provide essential and emergency power to an aircraft.
Heine attributes the longevity of the company to the quality of the product, customer service and customer support. He said the company uses manufacturing processes that no other company in the industry employs, which "is a main driver in why our batteries perform as well as they do, and last as long as they do."
Concorde has a new manufacturing plant being opened in Austell, GA, adding to its manufacturing capabilities in California, Heine said.
