Bell Helicopter Receives Approval For Maintenance In Asia

Singapore Shop Receives Part 145 MOA Certificate

Bell Helicopter Asia, the company's maintenance service facility in Singapore, has received a Part 145 Maintenance Organization Approval certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). This certification allows Bell Helicopter to complete comprehensive repair, completion, maintenance and customization solutions for its expanding fleet of helicopters in Asia.

“Singapore’s certification of Bell Helicopter Asia is a milestone in our Customer Support and Services program,” said Eric Cardinali, Bell Helicopter’s executive vice president of Customer Support and Services. “This certification enhances our ability to take care of our customers in Asia Pacific with comprehensive, one-stop-shop maintenance and repair solutions. Our goal is to make service expedient and efficient so our operators can continue to perform their missions in every segment around the globe.”

Bell Helicopter Asia opened its doors in July of this year in partnership with Cessna Aircraft Company. The service facility is 160,500 total square feet and equipped with hangars for Bell Helicopter and Cessna products, a paint booth, warehouse, overhaul and maintenance shops, offices and a 77,000 square foot ramp. The state-of-the-art facility offers parts sales and distribution, in addition to customization and completions, major refurbishment, maintenance, repair and overhaul and training.

Bell Helicopter and Cessna envision the center as a regional hub for response to customer needs in Asia Pacific. The approval to begin maintenance and customization on Bell helicopters in Asia signifies the growing presence of Bell Helicopter in the region and represents its commitment to providing critical support to its customers worldwide.

“We are pleased to have received the Part 145 CAAS certification,” said Ray Waller, general manager, Bell Helicopter Asia. “We are seeing increased demand for our services in the region, and the CAAS certification was a critical aspect to meeting those needs. We are excited to be able to offer our customers the full range of service offerings that Bell Helicopter has at its disposal.”

Bell Helicopter offers an unparalleled customer experience, providing customers with local support in every corner of the world. Services range from state-of-the-art customization, aircraft refurbishment and accessory options to first class maintenance, repair and overhaul.
