When Jetways Attack?

When you stop to think about it, the traveling public tends to take jetways -- those covered enclosures that carry us from the terminal to our aircraft in air-conditioned comfort and protection from the elements -- for granted.

Well, one jetway at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport was evidently fed up with everyone walking all over it this week... and decided to vent its aggravations on an unsuspecting MD-88 parked at the Delta gate Monday.

The FAA Preliminary Report (below) states the MD-88 receive serious injuries in the attack, although no one else was apparently injured and no passengers were onboard at the time.

Aero-News would like to remind our readers to be on the lookout for these jetways on the edge. You never know when they're going to snap.
