Acrohelipro Names John Nicholson As Executive Vice-President

Aero-News learned this week Acrohelipro Global Services Inc., a subsidiary of Vector Aerospace Corporation, named John Nicholson as Executive Vice-President with responsibility for US operations and for global sales and marketing, based in Acrohelipro's Dallas, TX facility.

"Nicholson’s appointment comes in response to our company’s expanding presence in the US rotary-wing MRO market, said Peter Tierney, Acrohelipro President and CEO. "In keeping with Acrohelipro's strategic plan to expand its world-class helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul services we required a proven, experienced leader with the skills and innovative track-record to ensure we would meet, or even exceed our goals... I’m particularly confident that John Nicholson is that leader."

Tierney tells ANN Nicholson brings a diverse set of skills and experiences to Acrohelipro, from his more than 25 years within the aviation industry; ranging from engineering, customer support, quality assurance and marketing, up to and including executive management positions. He also has years of experience in team-building and mentoring -- will should prove to be appreciable assets to Acrohelipro's growing US operations.

Nicholson has a PhD in Turbine Design from Oxford University, and a BEng from the University of Liverpool, in addition to successful completion of various executive leadership and strategic marketing courses.

Acrohelipro Global Services Inc. is a world-leader in providing comprehensive tip-to-tail maintenance, repair and overhaul services for helicopters and components including engines, airframes, avionics components and accessories.

Based in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, the company is recognized as one of British Columbia’s top exporters, and as an industry-recognized "employer of choice," with approximately 550 employees at six facilities located throughout Canada and the United States.
